Finding reliable before and after school care is a priority for many parents in Kenosha, Wisconsin. The Kenosha YMCA Before & After School Enrichment (B.A.S.E.) Program offers a nurturing environment for children at the YMCA facility and multiple Kenosha Unified School District (KUSD) schools.

Convenient Locations and Transportation

The B.A.S.E. program is offered at multiple convenient locations:

  • Prairie Lane

  • Forest Park

  • Kenosha YMCA* – Transportation is provided from Curtis Strange, Nash, Southport, and Ruth Harmon schools. (Please email youthandfamily@kenoshaymca.org for additional schools and availability.)

*After school care only. $50 transportation fee per school year.

Enrollment Information

ENROLLMENT NOW OPEN FOR 2024-25 SCHOOL YEAR

Enrollment is accepted year-round, and students may begin attending within two business days of providing the required forms.

  • Registration Fee: A one-time fee of $30.00 per child is due at the time of enrollment.

  • Multiple Child Discount: 10% off fees for each additional child attending the program.

  • Wisconsin Works: Accepted, and a co-pay may apply.

  • Payment Schedule: Payments are due two weeks in advance.

  • YMCA Youth Membership: Children enrolled in B.A.S.E. also receive a FREE Kenosha YMCA Youth Membership.

If your child attends a school without an on-site B.A.S.E. Program, please email youthandfamily@kenoshaymca.org for school and bussing availability prior to enrolling.

2024-25 B.A.S.E. Rates

  • Before School: $8.00 per day

  • After School: $14.50 per day

  • First Hour Only: $9.00 per day (excluding Prairie Lane and Transported Schools)

  • Fridays & Early Release: $20.00 per day

  • Kids Day Out/Non-School Days: $30 per day (separate registration required)

  • Multiple Child Discount: 1st child full price; 10% discount for each additional child

Financial Assistance

The Kenosha YMCA is a state-licensed facility that accepts W-2 (Wisconsin Works) payment. Families receiving W-2 assistance and not currently enrolled in our B.A.S.E. program need to provide proof of authorization prior to the first day of camp. Parents are responsible for any co-payments.

The Kenosha Y welcomes requests for fee reductions from families that would benefit from participation in our child care programs but are limited in their ability to pay.
